Shark model is where the film has a shock opening where there is lots of action. The model is split into 3 parts; the bite, the body and the tail. Which is the three parts of the narrative. The bite is used to hook the viewer in immediately, in a horror the film there will be something scary happening straight away. Some films which use the shark bite model are; pineapple express, from dusk 'til dawn, apocalypse now, inglorious basterds, the descent, creep and jaws
